The 2023–2025 Departmental Strategic Plan serves as the guiding document for the Department's management and for achieving its strategic and operational objectives, in alignment with the University's Strategic Plan.
The document is divided into two parts:
The first part provides an analysis of the current situation, including a brief overview of the Department's profile and mission, together with a comprehensive review of its main areas of activity: Teaching, Advanced Education, Research, Third Mission, Partnerships with Industry, Internationalization, and Communication. It also describes the Department's organizational structure, including its human resources and its technical and physical resources (facilities and equipment).
The second part sets out the Department's strategic planning and is organized into two sections:
- a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) relating to the areas of activity listed above;
- the identification of the strategic objectives and action plans required to achieve them, together with the performance indicators used to measure the Plan's outcomes and the corresponding targets.
The Departmental Review is intended to provide a critical evaluation of the implementation of the Strategic Plan, based on the results presented in the annual monitoring reports and the subsequent assessment of achievements over the three-year academic period.
The document presents the findings of a comprehensive analysis of the planned objectives and the results achieved, with the aim of supporting continuous improvement and adapting actions to changes in the operating environment, including in preparation for the development of the Department's next strategic plan.
